Last week marked the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. So I thought it would be an apt time to reflect on my last few months as a placement student in the Scottish Lowlands research department.

The muddled campaigning company, led by Chris Packham, has got itself so confused it asked the GWCT for help last week. However, it swiftly changed its mind after we recommended that it should start following the science and take a proportionate view of the risk.
