GWCT Cymru has written a letter regarding the Sustainable Farming Scheme to Huw Irranca-Davies, Wales’ new Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs following his promotion to this role in March 2024 as part of the First Minister Vaughan Gething’s new Cabinet.
The letter includes details regarding the proven science behind our work and that, “The GWCT champions farmers as the solution and has scientifically researched and evidenced methods for recovering wildlife without overly impacting on farming practices and without impacting farms profitability.”
We have invited Huw Irranca-Davies to see the work done on farms to increase biodiversity and provide environmental benefits.
