As part of our annual school’s art competitions the winning primary school pupils win a farm visit for their whole class.
2023 Aberdeenshire winner was Eilidh from Udny Green, she won a trip to Haddo Mains, part of Haddo Estate which RNCI facilitated in June this year. The pupils enjoyed looking at cereal crops, machinery, livestock, forestry and learnt about game keeping from the keeper Ian and his 12 very well-trained dogs.
Alison from RNCI said ‘Education really can be brought to life with visits like these and it can never be underestimated how important getting children out into the working countryside is”.
