Gamebird diseases in Great Britain.
Abstract
A survey of autopsy data collected by The Game Conservancy Pathology Laboratory between 1963 and 1988 shows a wide range of disease in hand-reared gamebirds. Changes in disease prevalence in this material is associated in some instances with changes in husbandry and therapy. Viral disease might be more important in the future with increased rearing and intensification, but the incidence of some disease has decreased.
