The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) has published a new report titled ‘Game for Nature: Why released gamebird management is a lifeline for farmland biodiversity’ based on decades of scientific research on pheasant releasing. In light of the DEFRA’s recentcall for evidence, it is demonstrates the huge private investment in nature recovery that gamebird management represents.

Reports from two neighbouring self-funded Farmer Clusters in Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire, show that by working together and with expert advice, farmers can reverse dramatic declines in a range of wildlife species while feeding the nation.
