Calling all nature-loving creatives – it’s time to step out of the woods and into the spotlight
We’re on the lookout for stunning designs inspired by the British countryside – yours could be the next to feature on an official GWCT Greeting Card.
Your canvas. Your card. Your contribution to conservation.
Enter now for the chance to have your artwork, photograph or design printed on a GWCT card, helping raise vital funds for wildlife and conservation work across the UK. As a winner, you’ll receive:
- A bespoke GWCT Conservation Experience
- 50 copies of your printed card to share with friends and family
- A featured profile on our website and a special credit on the back of your card
- Media exposure including a press release to national press, an article in our e-newsletter to 130,000, a piece in our magazine Gamewise circulated to 16,700 and other GWCT promotional material, and an opportunity to exhibit the original design at our stand at Game Fair 2025 in July
The theme: Nature’s Gift
We want to see your unique take on the beauty of nature – whether it’s a golden sunrise over a frosty field, a curious hare in mid-leap, or the silent grace of a barn owl in flight. Whether you’re a painter, photographer or digital artist, this is your moment to celebrate the magic of the wild.
We are looking to create seasonal greetings cards, so your design could be set in snowy landscapes, spring blooms or blue skies and summer sunshine and can be a new or existing piece.
Who can enter?
Everyone is welcome. To keep things fair, entries will be judged in three age categories:
- 18 and under
- 19-25
- Over 25
Why enter?
Not only could your artwork be showcased on a card sold to support wildlife conservation, but your talent will also be shared with our community of nature supporters and conservationists across the UK.
We believe creativity is a gift of nature too – so show us what it means to you.
Artist Ellie Louise Art, who created our grey partridge card sent to members during the appeal, shares her belief that creatives can make a difference:
“Art can be a medium for good when it comes to raising awareness for environmental issues or just highlighting the amazing work of organisations like the GWCT and the difference they make. I was delighted that my picture played a part in the Partridge Appeal and I would encourage all talented wildlife artists or photographers to submit their work to the GWCT Greeting Card Competition.”
Entries are now open! We cannot wait to see what you create.
You have until 6 June 2025, and we will be contacting winners within a few weeks of closing the competition.
There will be one winner and one runner-up per category, and runners-up will have their artwork displayed on our online gallery.
