GWCT’s Director of the Game and Wildlife Scottish Demonstration Farm (GWSDF), Dr Louise de Raad, is delighted to invite you to attend a “Walk & Talk” event at Auchnerran farm (Logie Coldstone, AB34 5PT, Aberdeenshire) on Wednesday 7th June 2023.
Working in partnership with Pasture For Life and Nofence, we will host a day where:
- Dr Louise de Raad (Head of Research GWCT & Director of GWSDF) will give a background to Auchnerran demonstration farm and the farming techniques that are currently being trialled.
- Nikki Yoxall (Head of Research – Pasture for Life) will provide an introduction to different grazing strategies and discuss the benefits of mob grazing.
- Rachel Fuller (Nofence) will give a demonstration of NoFence’s ‘virtual fencing’ technology that allows graze animals on pasture, moorland or in woodland without the need for fencing.
- We will have a Farm Walk to see Nofence collars and mob grazing in action and there will be the opportunity to speak to other farmers who have been using Nofence virtual fencing solution.
