Still time to get your tickets for the GWCT Wild + British Dinner on 16 September
There is still time to get your tickets for the highly anticipated GWCT Wild+British Dinner as the event returns on Monday 16 September.
This time it will be held at the Michelin-starred restaurant Kitchen W8, following the great success of last year's inaugural celebration at Sussex Restaurant in Soho.
This event highlights the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust’s (GWCT) vital role in providing scientific research that supports effective game management and promotes biodiversity.
The event is an excellent opportunity to engage a new audience, to introduce them to the Trust's mission, while also raising crucial funds for the GWCT’s work aimed at preserving the British countryside. All the proceeds from the event will help fund the Trust’s scientific research that influences and shapes conservation policy and practices.
Guests will be welcomed with a Champagne reception before indulging in a game-themed three-course dinner prepared by Head Chef and game advocate Mark Kempson. The menu will feature an array of exquisite dishes showcasing the finest of British game. Taylor’s Port will be served to round off the meal.
The evening will also include insightful talks from leading GWCT scientists and advisors, who will discuss the Trust’s initiatives and ways to enhance the biodiversity of our countryside. In addition to fostering education and engagement among new supporters, there will be a small raffle offering guests the chance to win a conservation tour and stalking experience at the GWCT’s Allerton Project in Leicestershire.
GWCT’s Event Manager Iona Campbell says: “This is the first event we are hosting with the support of Taylor’s and we can’t wait to have their delicious Port at this event and future dinners throughout the year.”
Head chef Mark Kempson says: “The team and I are extremely excited to be hosting the Wild + British dinner at Kitchen W8. It gives us a great opportunity to showcase the versatility and brilliance of the wonderful game meat that is available in the UK. This is going to be a very special evening and one not to be missed.”

About the GWCT – Offering Hope for the future of Wildlife
For nearly 100 years the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust has been a champion for wildlife through an evidence-led approach to conservation. From waders to woodland birds, game management to farmland ecology, wild salmon to pollinators and black grouse to moorland conservation – the breadth of research carried out by the GWCT makes it unique.
Through sound advice and support the GWCT helps farmers, land managers and conservationists across the UK succeed in their mission to enhance the British countryside.
The GWCT believes that wildlife can thrive if we focus on integrating it alongside other land uses, and that game management can be both sustainable, improve biodiversity and aid species recovery.
More than 70% of the UK is made up of farmland - by following GWCT guidelines farms have shown they can double their songbird numbers and remain just as productive as before.
