The IFM’s Sea Trout Symposium will be held in Cardiff on the 12th and 13th of September at the Angel Hotel. The purpose of this symposium is to draw together the considerable amount of sea trout research that has been carried out in recent years and to show how this increased knowledge could be turned into practical fisheries policy and action.
The conference findings will be used to inform a follow-up workshop to be held at Fishmongers Hall in London in November, with selected key decision makers, we aim to draw up an Action Plan for the future management of sea trout in Britain and Ireland.
The two-day conference, which will feature presentations from speakers across the UK and Ireland, includes GWCT's Dr Sophie Elliott who will be discussing the Environmental Threats to Sea Trout in the Marine Phase of its life cycle.
