For too long, the big internet companies have left rural communities, businesses and families behind. Gigaloch is changing that, by connecting the hardest to reach places first to our gigabit-speed, full-fibre network – ensuring remote, rural areas get the broadband they deserve.
Where you live shouldn’t dictate your online opportunities.
We believe in doing things differently to the major players in the industry – so much so that we’ve built our entire network from the ground up with our own low-impact, low-maintenance infrastructure.
We’ve been working with local communities, businesses and landowners to build a hyperfast network in Perthshire that is sustainable, environmentally friendly and helps to future proof traditional country life.
Since our founding on the banks of Loch Tay in 2020, Gigaloch has managed to connect some of the most digitally deprived communities in Scotland to our network. We’ve transformed the digital environment across Strathallan and the Dupplin Estate – delivering a full-fibre connection directly into our customer’s properties. We’re currently building our network in Methven and Abercairny, just west of Perth, and have ambitious plans to expand further across Perthshire and beyond.
Gigaloch’s hyperfast connection – up to 1,000Mb/s, free for the first year and £35/month thereafter – is 25x faster than the average speed in rural Scotland and opens up a world of possibilities for landowners; whether it’s supporting the increasing digital needs of farming, attracting tourism, or diversifying into new industries – all while supporting rural communities – we provide free connections to schools, places of worship and community centres as part of our commitment to the communities we serve.
