Have you ever wanted to hear from our research staff in person or ask the burning questions to the experts? Now you can, as our popular series of roadshows is back in April and May.
These informal talks have been popular with countryside enthusiasts, farmers, birdwatchers, and members of the public eager to learn more about rural affairs. This year we have a selection of different speakers, including our head of research Dr Andrew Hoodless, head of advisory and education Dr Roger Draycott, and GWCT advisor Mike Swan. All talks are informal and accessible to the general public.
For just £10, you can enjoy a two-hour talk, tea, and coffee and the chance to find out more about the issues that matter to you. Feedback from previous guests has been extremely positive, ranging from comments on the “informative and entertaining” nature of the talks to one saying how it had changed the way he would view the countryside forever.
Each event starts at 7pm, with time to get drinks beforehand.
Spaces are limited, so please book in advance here.
The first roadshow takes place on Tuesday 19 April at the Corner House Hotel in Taunton, before trips to Loughborough, London, Farnham, and Royston in Cambridgeshire. A further series of events is planned for the autumn.
