We have been asked by the ‘Welsh Partnership of Local Marine Protected Areas’ (funded by Welsh Government) to undertake a study into the ‘Effects of COVID 19 on litterpicking activities on the Welsh Coastline and Rivers’.
Plastics are present in our oceans and rivers and ultimately in the life cycles that depend on them, which in turn affects us.
There is no better time to tackle this problem but with the Pandemic and the subsequent restrictions in place we hope to find a way to help individuals and groups tackle this problem head on.
We would welcome your general comments on plastics within our environment and if you had 10 minutes to fill in our survey here it would go a long way to help us come up with solutions to the problems that are facing us, and that lay ahead.

Mae'r ‘Partneriaeth Cymru Ardaloedd Morol Gwarchodedig Lleol’ (Ariannwyd gan Lywodraeth Gymru) wedi gofyn i ni gynnal astudiaeth i spio ar ‘Effeithiau COVID 19 ar weithgareddau casglu sbwriel ar Arfordir a Afonydd Cymru’.
Mae plastigau yn bresennol yn ein cefnforoedd a'n hafonydd ac yn y pen draw yn y cylchoedd bywyd sy'n dibynnu arnyn nhw, sydd yn ei dro yn effeithio arnom ni.
Nid oes amser gwell i fynd i'r afael â'r broblem hon ond gyda'r Pandemig a'r cyfyngiadau dilynol ar waith rydym yn gobeithio dod o hyd i ffordd i helpu unigolion a grwpiau i fynd i'r afael â'r broblem hon yn uniongyrchol.
