On behalf of all involved with the Dick Potts Legacy Fund, I would, firstly, like to thank you all for your generosity in donating a magnificent £16,767.26 to enable us to support young ecologists.
Secondly, we are thrilled to confirm that we have allocated funds to our first two recipients. They are Manuel Püettmanns working on Skylark Radio Transmitters and Susan Hammond (shown above) continuing Pitfall Trap research in Sussex that was started by Dick in the early 1970s.
We wish them every success in carrying out their research, in which Dick, who passed away a year ago, would have been very interested, and look forward to seeing their results.
Funds are still available and applications will re-open on September 1st 2018.
Finally, we hope you will continue to support us through donations or fundraising events; watch this space for further details.
