We’re running two farm walks in October to illustrate the important work we’re doing to help the survival of the grey partridge.
We’ll be at Allendale Estates in Newton, Northumberland on Thursday 15th October where Dr Roger Draycott, GWCT Head of Advisory, Tim Furbank from Oakbank Game & Conservation and Head keeper Alan Edwards will discuss the measures being taken to restore partridges on the farm.
Don’t miss this great opportunity to see a farm shoot where wild game is flourishing.
Book your place here or contact Lynda Ferguson on 01425 651013 or lferguson@gwct.org.uk. Tickets are £10 including VAT and refreshments.
On Wednesday 21st October we’ll be at Dalton Estate in east Yorkshire to see how a traditional country estate in the stunning Yorkshire Wolds has helped provide an environment in which grey partridges can thrive.
Wild bird keepering and the habitats which can be provided within agri-environment schemes will be discussed on the farm walk.
GWCT Advisors, Roger Draycott and Austin Weldon will be on hand to answer technical enquiries along with Danny Burch, Head Gamekeeper on the Dalton Estate.
