We respond to a recent article on the decline in farmland bird numbers by highlighting the positive action taken by individual farmers.

SOME 30 arable and livestock farmers learnt about ways of embracing agroforestry at the Trees on Farm event at the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust’s (GWCT) Allerton Project, our research farm at Loddington in Leicestershire.

Last week saw the fourth meeting of an international collaboration working to improve farmland biodiversity across Europe. The GWCT is leading the North Sea Interreg PARTRIDGE project, a collaboration of partners from Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and the UK.
